"Songs born of sand, silk, and sunlight."

The Sagolii Roses are a Miqo’te musical ensemble born of the Sagolii Desert, where sun-warmed sands, tribal memory, and beauty shaped their earliest songs. Over time, their sound came to carry not only the spirit of Thanalan, but also the refinement of Ul’dah, blending desert tradition with courtly grace.

L'laleni She'qa, the fourteenth daughter of the matriarch of the L tribe, was born into a life where her path was never meant to be ordinary. With many of her sisters and brothers already fulfilling vital roles within the clan—hunters, scouts, and keepers of tradition—it was decided that L'laleni would serve a different purpose.Rather than remain within the Sagolii, she was chosen to become a bridge between her people and the great desert city of Ul'dah.Sent beyond the dunes, L'laleni entered the city not as a warrior, but as a musician, performing within the courts of the Sultana and for Ul’dah’s most esteemed guests. Through her music, she carried the spirit of the desert into marble halls—earning recognition not only for her talent, but for her poise and presence among royalty.Years passed, and though she adapted to the refinement of Ul’dah, the rhythms of the Sagolii never left her.In time, she gathered others like herself—Miqo’te who walked between worlds—and formed an eight-member ensemble, blending tribal roots with courtly elegance. Thus was born the Sagolii Roses—a band whose music carries both the heat of the desert sun and the gilded grace of Ul’dah. At their center stands L'laleni She'qa: not just a performer, but a symbol of unity between tradition and civilization.
